Sunday Sailing Report – 15 August 2021
Another tricky day in the sun. RO Tex and Paul laid buoys to allow for up to 90 degree shifts, although Tex and Lindsay managed to get 12 races in through the day with an early lunch break during a flat calm, and an early finish in time for the AGM.
Darryl stood out overall in the DF95s (well done Darryl), but the standard of racing across both fleets is so high now that any one of most yachts with the best start in a given race can take the lead and hold it. The final results in the rest of the DF95 fleet and the whole IOM fleet were not clear until they were entered and calculated.
In the IOMs, Keith (NZL 02) was most consistent – Well Done.
6 out of the 8 yachts in both the IOM and DF95 fleets got at least one first or second during the day.
