Sunday Sailing – Club Champs Report for 31 October
One out of the box for today. The skippers were treated to top racing on Race Area D for the gusty NW wind from full on B rig for the morning and pulsating gusts and light patches for the afternoon. Consequently some of us changed early and succumbed to A rig gyrations until the last couple of races. Tex and Keith hung on to their B rigs throughout and were dancing wind jigs in the control area to keep in the hunt to the end.
Rick CB excelled himself as RO. He ran the day smoothly getting the best out of everyone for 16 races, set and maintained a superb course offering tactical opportunities and passing lanes and was ably assisted by Mark in Rata, Colin with the results book and Brent up to his knees off the beach checking yachts for weed.
